Knowledge of Biblio3 is desirable, but not essential.

 

We are also seeking a temporary Production Assistant (fixed-term contract until September 2017). You will be responsible for the production of reprints, maintaining production systems, and a variety of tasks within the department. Candidates must have prior experience in a publishing environment or have completed a publishing course.

Are you a Marketing Assistant looking for a new challenge? A leading Educational publisher based in Oxford is now seeking a Marketing Executive to join their busy marketing department.

You will be working with the Marketing Manager to develop strategies for B2B and B2C. This will involve campaign planning, agency briefing, day to day web management, social media marketing and copy writing across both print and digital marketing.

The ideal candidate will be an all-round marketer with experience in both print and digital marketing techniques and the ability to hit the ground running in a busy and challenging role. You will have excellent communication skills, strong organisation and prioritisation skills as well as a keen eye for detail. Any understanding of basic HTML and design within marketing would be an advantage in applying for this role.

A leading professional publisher for the engineering and technology sector is looking for an Editor. You will have publishing experience and be responsible for editing a range of publications. The role is based in Hertfordshire and is a straightforward commute from London or Cambridge.

 

Key duties:

  • Support all activities leading to publication including proofreading and copy editing
  • Identify sourced material for copyright permissions requests
  • Preparing technical documents and specifications for consultation
  • Liaise with colleagues, technical authors, and other contributors on an ongoing basis

Experience / skills required:

  • Prior editorial experience in publishing, ideally in professional publishing, is required
  • Meticulous attention to detail in the presentation and delivery of work and of written English
  • Excellent IT abilities and experience with MS office (particularly Excel and MS Word)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • An excellent communicator with strong presentational skills
  • Familiarity with the subject area is desired but not essential

Great opportunity for an experienced Data Analytics and Insight Manager to join a leading professional publisher based in London. The ideal candidate will be data curious, analytically savvy, commercially astute, and passionate about sharing their insight-driven recommendations to drive growth and make an impact.

 

Key duties:

  • Delivery of a suite of analytical capabilities and tools (such as customer profiling, segmentation, cluster analysis, propensity/regression modelling)
  • Manage data-driven projects and actionable insights across the business to lead transformation and growth opportunities
  • As a key member of the Business Intelligence team, this role will support all the organisations domains, sectors and streams across offices worldwide
  • Developing consistent analytical and reporting tools and deliverables (including self-serve), while adapting them to the various needs and levels of maturity of different stakeholders 
  • Use your robust data management and technical analytical skills coupled with business acumen to understand business needs and objectives and incorporate them into technical analytical solutions that will help grow revenue through the resulting analysis and insight

Experience / skills required:

  • You will be an experienced data and analytics professional with a proven record in collecting, analysing, interpreting and presenting data
  • Experience in analytical software and technical solutions such as SAS, SPSS, SQL and sound knowledge of analytical techniques including segmentation, regression, logistic regression or predictive modelling, applying advanced analytics to inform marketing and/or business growth strategies
  • Experience in developing and deploying statistical models including propensity/regression to support business initiatives
  • Knowledge of BI and Reporting tools (Business Objects, Tableau)
  • Degree or equivalent in mathematics, statistics or another subject with mathematical content is ideal
  • Database management knowledge (e.g. SQL) would be strongly desirable
