Inventory Planning Team Leader – EMEA

Our client, a leading global academic and professional content provider, is looking to recruit an Inventory Planning Team Leader for international stock planning. 

The Team Leader will lead the stock planning team, with overall responsibility for cost, ensuring that financial and service level stock targets are met, that policies and strategies are adhered to and working practices continually improved. Main responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and forecasting stock levels to ensure service level agreements are met
  • Liaising with Sales, Marketing and Editorial departments during the forecasting process
  • Drive change with new technologies for planning & forecasting
  • Managing the digital print program
  • Training colleagues on new processes and liaison with print vendors
  • Integration of acquisitions within existing business processes
  • Inventory Management (SOXA)
  • Training, coaching and the annual appraisals of planning team.

To be considered you will have knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and prior inventory/supply chain experience, ideally but not essentially within the publishing industry. Previous experience of statistical forecast models would be beneficial. They will be self-motivating, proactive, will lead by example and have strong analytical, written and oral communication skills.

This Publishing Manager vacancy is an opportunity for an experienced ELT Publisher to join an established educational publisher at its office in Dubai.  The successful candidate will manage the editorial team producing high quality ELT educational products for the Middle East and Africa region.

 

Key duties:

  • Manage the regional K-12 schools and ELT publishing units
  • Develop and manage K-12 schools and ELT publishing plans in consultation with senior management
  • Create proposals, including P&L projections for new products and present to the publishing committee
  • Responsible for commissioning of new products and contracts with vendors
  • Develop and manage the publishing strategy for the MEA region
  • Oversee the publishing process for new print and digital products

Experience / skills required:

  • Established experience at Publishing Manager or Publisher level in international schools and/or ELT publishing
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of K-12 US Schools and ELT publishing
  • Experience of devising commissioning strategies and developing digital and print educational materials
  • Solid team management and leadership abilities
  • Native level English is essential and some spoken Arabic language skills would be advantageous
  • Willingness to travel in the MEA region is desirable

Our client, a leading publisher of environmental publications with global, real-world impact is looking to appoint an Editorial Assistant to be based in their Central London offices.

 

This is a rare opportunity for someone with some experience or knowledge of publishing and customer service experience to take the next step in their career with a successful publisher in a small and supportive team. You will work on their three flagship journals as well as books.  

 

In this role you will:

  • Be instrumental in coordinating the peer-review process
  • Be a point of contact for authors, reviewers and editors globally providing excellent customer service and support
  • Keep everything to schedule
  • Regularly report back to the team with updates

 

Someone who’s very organised with clear communication skills and customer service experience would be an excellent fit for this role.
