• Make sure the company remains at the forefront of the leading publishers with its online products; deliver regular competitive and actionable analyses
• Act as lead on commercial and contractual sign off when buying in publishing services
• Actively participate in company Steering Groups on Company strategy
• Ensure the business analysis produced is of a high standard (i.e.) requirements are elicited using techniques appropriate to the project and audience; provides cost benefit and option analysis; requirements are fully documented per the Project Lifecycle
• Sponsor a climate of continuous improvement across the department and inter-department by supporting others to identify workflow process obstacles and encouraging solutions.
• Sponsor department understanding of Lean Six Sigma.
• Be an ambassador for the company at all times and actively engage externally to promote our online products
• Build annual budget for department, monitor it for effective spend and ensure expenses are tracked and monitored.

 

Skills & Experience:

• A minimum 10-15 years’ experience in a senior product or programme management role
• An excellent track record of delivery to time and budget
• Experience of working across departments and with stakeholders at all levels in an organisation
• Deep understanding of publishing-related technologies and industry matters
• Workload and time management of own and department work to secure results
• Educated to degree level
• Influencing, strong negotiation skills, teamwork and relationship building
• Decision maker, mentor and coach
• Drive to deliver results and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Budget management
